Twenty years ago, Gu Mingyuan, a tycoon, had his daughter Gu Xing stolen by his nanny Zhou Mei, leaving only a silver necklace engraved with "Xing Xing" (Star). Gu searched relentlessly without result, turning his longing for his daughter into an obsession with anything related to "Star". Two decades later, Su Xiaoxing, a workplace rookie, catches his eye with the same necklace—she is Gu Xing, renamed by Zhou Mei! Meanwhile, Lin Shen, Gu's right-hand man, has long harbored feelings for Su but is torn by the "daughter-finding plan". Gu sets a "heritage gift" trap to make Zhou Mei admit her crime in pursuit of the property; after learning the truth, Su resolves her estrangement from her father and confirms her feelings with Lin despite "interest barriers". In the end, Zhou Mei is jailed, Gu Xing returns home, and both family and love achieve a happy ending.
