Su Xiao left home in anger three years ago because her mother opposed her studying painting. When she lost her design draft to a colleague and had nowhere to go, she returned to the old alley, only to find her mother still keeping her studio—there were un_sent caring messages in the drawer and her middle school graffiti of osmanthus cake on the fridge. It turned out that her mother never dared to open her packages, fearing to break her “freedom”; it turned out that her mother secretly went to her graduation exhibition and cried red-eyed in the corner. When the scent of osmanthus cake filled the room in the morning, the mother and daughter held the crumpled drawing paper, and those unspoken “I miss you” finally became “It's good to be home.”
