The Ye family in Hongcheng is struck by misfortune—their only grandson lies critically ill in bed, and their family teashop is on the brink of bankruptcy. Desperate, Grandma Shen Cuilan adopts 4-year-old Xiao Fubao, a child rumored to be "jinxed," from an orphanage to ward off bad luck. To her surprise, this cute little girl is a walking lucky charm: when helping Grandma sell fish, customers suddenly line up in droves; a lottery ticket she picks wins 100,000 yuan; even the dying teashop is revived by her suggestion to set up a sugar painting stall. The uncle and aunt, who have long coveted the Ye family's property, first mock Grandma for "adopting a troublemaker," then try to steal Fubao to "absorb her luck" when they see the Ye family's turnaround. However, they are repeatedly humiliated by Fubao's "cute counterattacks": the uncle steals Fubao's jade pendant and falls into a stinky ditch, while the aunt tries to make Fubao drink bitter medicine but ends up drinking it herself and being sent to the hospital. With Fubao's company, the grandson gradually recovers, and the teashop's business flourishes. Meanwhile, the secret hidden in Fubao's round eyes slowly emerges—she was originally a fortune boy under the God of Wealth in heaven, banished to earth for breaking the fortune jade plate. But in the Ye family, she finds something more important than "returning to heaven"—a "home."
