Shen Zhixia, leader of an archaeology team, went missing in the southwest rainforest five years ago while searching for a lost Song Dynasty love-token porcelain piece. Her boyfriend Cheng Yanzhi clung to her half of the porcelain, rejecting all romantic advances and even faking an engagement to divert the criminals who sought the relic. When Zhixia returns with the complete porcelain but loses her memories of their past due to a brain injury, Cheng approaches her again as a "relic restorer" while secretly investigating the truth—Zhixia was set up to protect the porcelain. The diary she hid in the porcelain slowly revives the promise engraved in their bones.
