Urban office worker Zhang Menglong inherits his grandfather’s old alleyway corner store. One day, while organizing shelves, he accidentally activates a "cross-dimensional portal"—the other end leads to a resource-depleted post-apocalyptic world! He trades a bowl of expired instant noodles for a gold necklace from Jiang Wanqiu, a survivor in the apocalypse, and thus starts a profitable business: modern cheap goods in exchange for scarce apocalyptic resources—mineral water for crystal cores, sanitary pads for food, even a box of instant noodles to help Jiang Wanqiu gain authority in her base. As a "strategist with a sharper mind than a gun" in the apocalypse, Jiang Wanqiu takes the initiative to bond with Zhang Menglong for a stable supply. They go from "mutual calculation" to "mutual protection"—he rescues her captured base members, she deals with the demolition team troubling his store. Until his grandfather’s old diary is uncovered, Zhang Menglong discovers that his grandfather also connected to the apocalypse years ago, and Jiang Wanqiu looks exactly like the "white moonlight he waited for all his life" in the diary…
