To save the bankrupt mansion, she sneaks out with gold to "build a business": trading gold ingots for noodle shop secrets, using gold hairpins to attract customers for embroidery ladies, even melting gold into little goldfish as "lucky charms" to sell. Unbeknownst to her, her "dead" Marshal father is actually alive, disguised as an accountant, secretly watching her.
