Shen Wantang, a handmaid disciple of the Jiuhua Sect, is framed as an evil spirit because of the "Thousand Evils Power" sealed in her body. She watches helplessly as her only protector, her senior brother, is killed by villains. When she falls off a cliff in despair, she is saved by Yun Zhao, an amnesiac immortal from the falling star—the man she had a fleeting glance at in her childhood and remembered for ten years. To survive, she hides her evil power and pretends to be an ordinary disciple; to help him regain his memory, she gets involved in a millennium-old secret: Once, Yun Zhao sacrificed himself to seal a thousand evils, and she fell into samsara to save him. Now he has forgotten her, but she must hold his hand again under the dangerous eaves—this time, she wants to keep him safe, avenge herself, and uncover the truth of their bond that was deliberately erased a thousand years ago.
