Su Wan, a ruthless female CEO, faces deadly threats after exposing industry dark secrets. Her grandfather assigns Lin Chuan as her bodyguard, but he’s a total slacker—late with milk tea, scrolling short videos in meetings. Just as Su Wan is about to fire him, a premeditated car accident strikes: Lin Chuan instantly shields her, stopping a runaway truck with one hand and blocking a bullet with his suit! As assassinations escalate, Su Wan discovers this “unreliable” bodyguard is the world’s top “shadow guardian,” who once took down a drug cartel alone and gave up a million-dollar mission to protect her. What makes her heart race even more? He leaves stomach medicine for her late nights and hums lullabies when she can’t sleep… When the final death trap comes, Lin Chuan takes an explosion for her, and his last words before passing out make her cry: “I’m not your bodyguard—I’m the one who wants to stay with you forever.”
