Lin Mo, an architect working outside, returns to Jiangchao Village after a 10-year absence upon hearing his grandfather's passing. Intending to handle his grandfather's old house affairs, he accidentally finds half of an ancestral house design left by his grandpa. The drawing not only links to his past rift with childhood friend Su Wan over academic differences, but also reveals the ancestral house is facing demolition. Between his grandpa's unfulfilled wish to repair the house and tangled emotions with his old friend, Lin Mo finally understands the meaning of the title. He decides to stay to restore the house, retrieve his lost self and win back the love he missed for years.
