Jichuan, a young monk at Lingyin Temple, has a distinct "Jigong vibe"—tattered fan in hand, always sneaking free meals. Little does anyone know he’s the reincarnation of the Dragon Subduing Arhat. But Song Wenxing, a rich merchant’s son in the capital, steals his identity as the "Dragon Subduer": swindling money by "exorcising demons" and tricking Su Wanning, the prime minister’s daughter, into a contract marriage under the guise of "saving her family". Jichuan slaps his fan and storms to the capital: "Dare to impersonate me? I’ll take him down!" There, he discovers Su Wanning is investigating her father’s murder—and Song is involved. Using street smarts to mess with Song and pretending to be Su’s husband to cover her tracks, can Jichuan, with his Jigong-style wisdom, expose the scam and clear his name?
