When cultural relic restorer Lin Wanxing takes on the restoration of an ancient town's opera stage, she reunites with Lu Zhao—her first love who vanished a decade ago, now a documentary director back to fulfill their uncompleted promise of 「restoring the stage together」. Lu left back then because of leukemia, fearing he'd be a burden; now his condition has relapsed, leaving him only three months to live.
