Lin Wan, who missed her mother's last moments due to overtime in her previous life, is reborn in a 1987 rural village filled with regret. Watching her mother cough uncontrollably by the stove, she vows to turn fate around—starting with running the village's banquet services! She uses modern catering ideas to revamp old-style banquets, but faces backlash: the veteran chef calls her “disrespectful of traditions,” and her father thinks she's “wasting time.” Yet when the first “new-style banquet” is served, the guests' gasps, the light in her mother's eyes, and the quietly growing orders make her resolve: this time, she'll make her banquets famous across the village, and most importantly, piece by piece, make up for the companionship she never gave her mother in her past life.
