Lin Xiaoman, a gold store clerk, catches her husband Chen Mo having an affair with her best friend Su Tang, and discovers they’re secretly transferring their joint property. Instead of falling apart, she teams up with a police friend to stage a “live-streamed gold store robbery”—using a fake gun to take control, she forces “hostage” Chen Mo to call “the person he loves most in life.” When Chen Mo dials Su Tang’s number, Su Tang, who’s hiding in the warehouse, rushes out, and their affair is exposed live. This “robbery” was never about money; it’s Lin Xiaoman’s way to tear apart the fake cocoon of her marriage and let herself “break free” completely.
