Lin Yang, a courier, roams the streets every day to earn medical fees for his seriously ill sister. One day, he knocks on the door of a luxury villa with a parcel, and the person who opens it is Su Wan, the daughter of a gang leader—she holds a household register, her eyes red-rimmed. Her father was just murdered, and the gang elders are pressuring her with the excuse that “unmarried people are ineligible to inherit.” Su Wan, panicking, happens to see Lin Yang delivering parcels. “Marry me, name your price.” Lin Yang intended to refuse, but when he sees the medical record of Su Wan’s father (exactly the same as his sister’s), he nods subconsciously. After the flash marriage, Lin Yang helps Su Wan pretend to be a “loving couple” to deal with the elders while secretly using Su Wan’s money to treat his sister; Su Wan, while investigating her father’s death, discovers that Lin Yang’s “poor boy” identity hides an old grudge related to her father’s murder. When true feelings start to grow in this fake marriage, the shadow of revenge looms—could his sister’s illness be the “doing” of Su Wan’s father years ago?
