Design director Su Wan reunites with Lu Chengyu, her ex-boyfriend who has become a new business tycoon after years of biding time, at an industry summit. Five years ago, Su Wan caught rumors of Lu's "political marriage" and mistakenly believed he dumped her for profit, so she angrily said "Never See Old Acquaintances in the Rest of Life" and vanished. At the reunion, Lu takes out the engraved fountain pen they used as a token of love left by Su Wan, revealing he faked the marriage to save Su's family business. Torn between love and hate, the two finally face the misunderstanding of the past and touch their true feelings hidden for five years.
