Lin Xiaoman, a folk tailor, loses her ancestral home to war. On her escape, she saves Gu Zhao, a severely injured "refugee," only to find a general's token on him—he's the framed Young General of Zhenbei. To repay her kindness, Gu Zhao takes the alias "A Zhao" and stays with Xiaoman, helping her rebuild her tailor shop to hide from the war while secretly investigating the treason plot. Xiaoman goes from resenting this "troublemaker" to relying on his calmness, but witnesses him slaying enemies with a sword during an enemy search. When the war flames reach the city gate again, she must choose: keep the peace of her small shop, or follow him into a redemption that could cost their lives?
