Su Xiao, a 996 planner, quit her job and returned to her grandfather's mountain village after a work-related illness. She found the祖传 mu of field barren and the old spring, once her grandfather's companion, nearly dry. When she cried by the spring, a drop of blood from her finger fell in—and the spring suddenly gushed with clear water, even healing her wound instantly! Using the spring water to water the field, vegetables sprouted overnight and tomatoes tasted sweeter than honey. She decided to stay and farm, but faced a developer planning to demolish the village for a health town. At this critical moment, Zhou Yan, a beekeeper, produced a "family oath contract" left by her grandfather, proving the field was the village's "root" and couldn't be touched. As they guarded the field and improved crops together, Su Xiao regained her sense of life in the soil, while Zhou Yan let go of his grief over losing his grandmother. The magic spring not only nourished the field but also revived two tired hearts.
