During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, veteran cook Lao Gen owned a shabby ancestral bowl with an unknown time-traveling power. When Japanese forces launched a large-scale mopping-up operation and the base camp ran short of supplies, Lao Gen tried his luck by putting stored dry food and medicine into the bowl. To his surprise, the supplies were sent through a time gap to the frontline! The Eighth Route Army soldiers repelled the Japanese attack with ample supplies, but Lao Gen never expected a traitor had spotted the bowl's secret. A life-or-death crisis surrounding the broken bowl was quietly approaching.
