Meng Xiaomei, a rural floral artist, makes a living by guarding her grandmother's wild rose garden. She has a personality like a thorny wild rose, refusing to give in an inch. Until Gu Chuan, a cold hotel president, offers a fortune to buy the "Frost White Wild Rose" in her garden——the "flower of childhood redemption" his grandmother sought on her deathbed. Xiaomei refuses to sell it at all costs, so Gu Chuan moves in to "pester her": fixing her fence, protecting her from debt collectors, and even squatting on the ridge to learn flower-picking with her. They go from being at each other's throats to developing secret feelings. But when Gu Chuan finally gets the wild rose, Xiaomei discovers: this flower is exactly the "guide rose" she gave to a lost little boy years ago——and that little boy is Gu Chuan. It turns out fate had already tied their red thread to the thorns of the wild rose long ago.
