Chen Mo, a ten-year Beijing drifter, returns to Snow City to handle his grandmother's inheritance, planning to leave quietly after finishing. But he stumbles upon his former underling 'Monkey' surrounded by debt collectors—years ago, when he took the blame for his brother's fight, the underworld labeled him 'Brother Mo from North Snow City'. Worse, his first love Su Xiao's milk tea shop is targeted by a local bully who forces her to move to the new district. Chen Mo denies being a 'boss' but can't help solving troubles for old friends, only to make things messier: 'Brother Dao', whom he beat away years ago, comes back with an 'old debt list'. Chen Mo then realizes: Snow City's 'past' never faded, and the 'boss' identity he wanted to escape has long become an indelible 'obsession' in the old alleys.
