Psychologist Su Wan takes on a special patient—Lu Jingshen, her ex-boyfriend who disappeared five years ago. Back then, he suddenly went abroad, leaving her waiting all night outside the hospital operating room, and she closed her heart ever since. Now Lu returns with severe insomnia, forcing Su to be his therapist. But every session feels like reopening old wounds: Lu hides the untold truth from years ago, while Su struggles between “healing him” and “protecting herself.” When the truth emerges, they realize: the hardest thing to cure is never the illness, but the unremoved “thorn” in their hearts.
