Su Wan, an emergency doctor, closed her heart off after her boyfriend Cheng Ye, a band vocalist, vanished without a word five years ago. Her sterile world shatters when Cheng Ye is rushed into her ER post-car accident—thinner, still wearing her guitar pick, yet calling her “Doctor”陌生ly. As she sutures his wounds, she stifles the question “why did you leave”, only to freeze at his medical record: he’s hidden cardiomyopathy for five years. When Cheng Ye pulls out a crumpled concert ticket and says, “I planned to find you after my last show”, Su Wan’s heart skips a beat—those unsaid words never expired. But when the monitor’s alarm blares, holding his hand, she realizes: the courage to restart love is daring fate to let them say, “this time, I won’t let go.”
