Star-Picking in the Old Alley

On the day corporate slave Lin Xiaoman gets laid off, she receives a key to an old alley and a note from her late grandmother: "Go to Star-Picking Grocery and find your star." Returning to the alley, she discovers the store is filled with old items, each attached to its owner's story. Late at night, a disheveled astronomer-photographer Lu Ye stumbles in, frantic to find a glass marble he gave Grandma a decade ago—it was their promise to "wait for Xiaoman to come home." As they search, a letter from Grandma falls out of the marble: "Xiaoman's star is someone who will watch the stars with her." And in Lu Ye's camera? Hundreds of photos of the alley's night sky—he's been waiting for her all along. Turns out, "picking stars" isn't about objects—it's about finding the love hidden in old memories.
