Xia Wantang, the daughter of Xia's Group, was in love with her fiancé Lin Shen for three years. But on their engagement night, she caught him and her best friend plotting to embezzle Xia's assets. Her father died of a heart attack due to the company's bankruptcy. She swore in front of his ashes: "Love is empty—I'll take back what I lost." She cut her long hair, started as a grassroots salesperson, and became a core executive of Lin's Group in half a year, gradually exposing Lin Shen's crimes. On her revenge path, the mysterious entrepreneur Lu Shiyan always helped her out of crises but avoided his past. When Xia sent Lin to prison, Lu took out the old bankruptcy contract: "My father indirectly ruined your family—I'm here to atone." Yet she could no longer tell if her reliance on him was a tool or an unextinguished heartbeat.
