Lin Shen, a descendant of a hidden ancient medical clan, descends the mountain to investigate his family's massacre, disguising himself as a well-digger to find the buried family medical scripture. Su Wan, a Su family heiress, whose father suffers from an incurable disease that only the clan's secret recipe can cure, tracks Lin Shen down. Putting aside her pride, she chases him relentlessly and even proposes a "contract marriage in exchange for the recipe" deal. However, Lin Shen discovers the Su family's link to his family's tragedy. While resisting Su Wan's passionate pursuit, he secretly investigates the truth. As they grow closer during the chase, when the revenge truth emerges, will Lin Shen choose to avenge his family or hold onto the warmth before him?
