Su Xiaotang, a Maine Coon demon from the cultivation realm, accidentally tumbles into the mortal world due to a system mission—she must find her "fated owner" to continue her cultivation. But after days of waiting on midnight streets, the one she meets is Gu Mingyuan, a corporate slave hiding in a convenience store eating instant noodles after being scolded by clients. How could this man, who can't even buy cat treats without a coupon, be her "destined one"? Even more absurd: Gu Mingyuan can understand her cat language! From forced cohabitation to mutual bickering, Su Xiaotang uses her demon powers to help Gu Mingyuan rise in his career, while Gu Mingyuan gradually uncovers her past life mystery—turns out, a thousand years ago, he saved a little fox being chased by hunters, and that fox was none other than Su Xiaotang's past self... A sweet and hilarious farce of "cat and owner" spanning a millennium unfolds under the midnight neon lights.
