Lin Xiaoman, a corporate slave, is a die-hard daydreamer — she fantasies about salary raises while slacking at work, confronting queue-jumping aunties on the subway, and even meeting her ideal doctor in a white coat while eating takeout. One day, her dreams unexpectedly “crossed dimensions”: just after thinking “I wish my boss would raise my salary voluntarily,” she received a raise email at the company; she really met a queue-jumper on the subway, and unconsciously blurted out the retort from her dream, making the person line up obediently; she even met Gu Chuan, a surgeon who looked exactly like the one in her dream, at the hospital! But before she could celebrate, the “Daydream System” popped up — every dream come true requires an “embarrassing moment” in exchange: she dreamed of winning 5 million, but the lottery ticket was blown into the sewer right after she got it; she dreamed of becoming a “workplace queen,” only to spill coffee on her boss’s suit; she dreamed of dating Gu Chuan, but accidentally knocked over his patient’s medical records when they met... While covering her burning face, Lin Xiaoman couldn’t help but keep having “prickly dreams” — after all, she still wanted to hear Gu Chuan’s unsaid “I like you” in her dream first!
