Lin Xiaofan spent ten years cultivating on Zhongnan Mountain and finally mastered the "Heavenly Eye"—a power that lets him see through everything, from a vendor's fake eggs to someone's evil intentions. But his master suddenly kicks him down the mountain, saying, "Your destiny lies in the mortal world." On his first day in the city, he bumps into Su Wan, an ice-cold CEO who's being framed by rivals and whose secretary is secretly selling company secrets. Lin tries to help her with his Heavenly Eye, but she thinks he's a "superstitious hillbilly." To make things worse, the "cultivation system" his master gave him is an old-fashioned mobile phone that only makes calls, and it keeps forcing him to do "mortal tasks": pick up Su's files, help her avoid paparazzi—if he fails, his Heavenly Eye power gets taken away! Between the jokes of a "Taoist master adapting to the city" (he can't even use an elevator!), the thrill of using his power to save Su's company, and the sweet tension as Su goes from disdain to dependence—Lin realizes that "invincibility" isn't about beating everyone. It's about protecting the person who makes his heart race.
