Jiang Nanshu, a young Taoist disciple, is sent down the mountain to “undergo tribulations” and accidentally becomes a night watchman at a Beijing funeral parlor—her metaphysical talent lets her hear ghosts’ “complaints”! In the midnight mortuary, a wronged internet celebrity model begs for justice, a businessman killed by his mistress asks for inheritance via a dream, and even a CEO’s late mother comes with a “message”… When superstitious metaphysics meets rigorous law, Jiang Nanshu uses talismans to subdue vengeful ghosts while dragging a lawyer CEO to check case files. She must avenge the dead and handle the CEO’s “unusual pursuit”—in this Beijing adventure of “dancing with ghosts,” is she saving the ghosts, or are the ghosts saving her?
