Lin Xiaoman, a fresh grad who gave up milk tea to save for rent, is shocked by a triple electricity bill. Checking surveillance, she finds her neighbor’s AC and heating pads are all connected to her meter! She marches over with the bill, only to stumble into Gu Mingyuan’s “cat shelter”—a reserved programmer’s home filled with appliances for stray cats.
