Lin Xiaoman, a modern Michelin two-star chef, travels to a fictional ancient dynasty after breaking her grandmother's antique celadon bowl. She inherits “Fulai Ju,” her late uncle’s run-down restaurant burdened with huge debts and few customers. Gu Jingzhao, the young owner of the neighboring “Yuhua Lou,” constantly sabotages her, and the old staff distrusts her. Lin revamps the menu with modern culinary ideas: turning hot pot into “warm stove hot pot,” making candied apples with sugar, and even creating “vegetarian sea cucumber” from tofu. Just as business picks up, Gu shows up with an IOU—her uncle owed the Gu family 1,000 taels. If she can’t pay, Fulai Ju will be seized!
