A drunk architect, Chen Yu, knocks over her fried chestnut stall, sparking a brief argument. During the bicker, Su Nian spots the old scar on his wrist — left by the boy who saved her from drowning a decade ago. When Chen Yu sobers up, he gazes at her red, chapped nose and pulls out a ginkgo leaf frozen in ice: "I've searched for you all these years, just waiting for this first snow to say long time no see."
