Six years ago, Sun Qianxun survived a plane crash thanks to Captain Wang Nianjiangcheng's flawless operation. She saw him as her guiding light and gave up her law school offer to become an air traffic controller—just to be near him. When they reunite, Wang is closed off due to the trauma of his co-pilot's death, claiming, "A captain's job is to protect, not to be protected." But Sun refuses to back down: she greets him with "Captain Wang, the clouds are soft today" during control, leaves him hot cocoa after overtime, and guides him through danger with her professionalism. When she pulls out the old "Safe" note he wrote and says through tears, "You protected me, now I want to protect you," Wang's frozen heart thaws. The best love is becoming like you, then loving you in your way.
