The urban sweet romance drama *The Bright Gardenia Field* follows Gu Chenye, CEO of a tech company, who is trapped in the shackles of memories due to his mother's legacy gardenia field. He unexpectedly meets Lin Zhaozhao, a horticulturist here to restore the old garden. At their first encounter, Gu mistakes Zhaozhao for a business rival trying to demolish the garden and obstructs her at every turn. But when he sees Zhaozhao crouching between flower ridges replacing soil for sick plants, and finds his mother's old gardening notes hidden in her toolbox, his frozen past begins to thaw. From "garden protection confrontation" to "guarding flowers side by side", the gardenia scent holds not just his mother's wish, but also the warmth of two hearts drawing closer—turns out the sweetest meeting is: I'm guarding the old days, and you just happen to light them up.
