Lin Xiaoman, a restorer at a maritime museum, accidentally gets an old logbook filled with navigation codes—signed by Gu Shen, captain of the "Sea Eagle" who hasn't returned to port in three years. To unravel the "homecoming promise" in the logbook, she volunteers as an on-board restorer and uncovers the secret of this "sea wolf": Gu Shen lost his best friend in a shipwreck and has trapped himself at sea ever since. Xiaoman uses her delicacy in restoring ancient books to melt his icy heart—organizing his messy cabin, staying with him at the helm during storms, and even reviving the "homeport route" his friend wrote. When the last code is cracked, a line of small characters makes Gu Shen's eyes red: "Wait for you to bring yourself home." And Xiaoman is already on the deck, holding a sign that says "Gu Shen Returns," waiting for him to turn around.
