Lin Xiaoman, a part-time "worker soldier" in an old alley, picks up a wounded "handsome beggar" Gu Shiyan on a rainy night and is forced into a "poor cohabitation life"—she teaches him to scan shared bikes and cook instant noodles, while he fixes her leaky pipes and fends off creeps at drinking parties. The two "proletarians" turn the broken sofa in the rental into their warmest nest. Until one day, a black Rolls-Royce blocks the alley, and a suited secretary bows: "Mr. Gu, your missing billion-dollar fortune awaits inheritance." Staring at her suddenly "valuable" boyfriend, Lin Xiaoman panics and tries to escape through the window: "I just picked up a man—how did I get a gold mine?" Gu Shiyan laughs and holds her tight: "Silly girl, I deliberately 'lost' myself at your door—compared to billions, I'd rather pick you as my lifelong 'home'.
