Returning architect Xu Lingyun is tasked with renovating his hometown's ancient alley, only to encounter his ex-girlfriend Xu Liang, who's clinging to her old bookstore. Years ago, he left without a word, trapping her in the obsession of "being abandoned." The alley renovation plan directly targets Xu Liang's "Evening Breeze Bookstore," and their clashes stir up old memories: the evening wind at the alley after night study, the bookstore design he drew for her, and the unspoken "I had no choice" before their breakup. When the demolition order arrives, Xu Lingyun's three-year-hidden medical diagnosis is revealed—he'd had terminal illness and feared burdening her. Now recovered, he finds Xu Liang still waiting. In the evening wind, is it an unbreakable obsession, or an inescapable true heart?
