Chu Qi, the goddess of destiny in heaven, must descend to the mortal world to make amends for Lu Xingyao, an overworked programmer whose fate she accidentally altered. When the ethereal goddess meets the stressed office worker—she uses magic to fix his crashed code but makes the computer shoot fireworks, tries to help him fend off drinks but downs a whole bottle of baijiu and passes out on the sofa, and even uses spells to make the line "automatically give way" for his milk tea, leading to hilarious mishaps. Lu Xingyao goes from thinking "she’s crazy" to getting used to her impulsiveness. When Chu Qi hides because her return to heaven is near, he finally realizes: what he wants most is to keep this "heaven-sent goddess" who turned his life upside down but filled it with warmth.
