Su Wan, an unloved illegitimate daughter of the prime minister's family, is betrothed to the sickly Crown Prince Rong Jing. The entire capital mocks her as a "soft persimmon" sent to ward off bad luck. But on their wedding night, she chases away a provoking concubine with a feather duster, exposes her half-sister's plot to steal her husband, and even tongues the imperial concubine into silence at a palace banquet—this "delicate princess consort" is actually a sharp-tongued little pepper! Meanwhile, the sickly Rong Jing watches her mischief with a smile, holding a bowl of medicine: "My princess, if you keep闹, the capital will be renamed after you." As they uncover conspiracies and share sweetness, follow this cute little pepper as she overturns the capital's prejudices and becomes the most arrogant princess consort ever!
