In the Republican-era Beijing, warlord young marshal Gu Chengchuan (played by Huang Youtian) disguises himself as an opera fan to get close to Shen Zhixia (played by Zhu Moyan), the top actress of a opera troupe—her family is the "murderer" of his father.
