Orphaned assassin Su Wan and aristocratic daughter Lin Caiwei are both controlled by shadowy forces: one is reduced to a killing machine, the other trapped in a mansion as a marriage pawn. Japanese pirates eye the Lin family's fortune, and both women's lovers betray them for personal gain.
