The down-and-out treasure appraisal genius Wang Yihai hides in the marketplace repairing phones, but Zhu Jiaqi, the arrogant daughter of an auction house, shows up with her father's 'fake appraisal certificate'—Zhu's father is being hounded by debtors after his authentication of a 'Song Dynasty celadon vase' ruined someone's business, and only Wang Yihai can detect the 'fake ice crack technique' on the vase. From bickering 'Who do you think you are as an appraiser?' to working together to unravel the 'aging scheme' of the 'Ming-Qing jade ruyi' and the 'switching plot' of the 'transmitted Buddha head,' they gradually find that the mastermind is deliberately reviving Wang Yihai's old sect feud. When Zhu Jiaqi's fiancé presents the 'grand finale appraisal certificate,' Wang Yihai points at his cufflink and smiles: 'The 'fake-making powder' on your cuff is exactly the same as the one that harmed my master three years ago.' Every crack on the appraisal table hides a heart dirtier than the antiques themselves.
