Gu Yan, an investment banking elite, is forced to return to his hometown to be the "First Farmer" due to his grandfather's will. Upon arrival, he runs into Lin Xiaoman, a tough village official—one despises his "inability to lift a hoe with hands used to pens", the other mocks her "trying to talk about industrial upgrading in canvas shoes like a joke". From bickering to collaborating, they use financial thinking to help villagers sell strawberries and build homestays, turning the poor village into a "internet-famous pastoral spot". But just as their事业 peaks, Gu Yan's urban past (ex-girlfriend shows up with an acquisition plan + his old company urges him to return to fix a crisis) suddenly hits. Will he go back to his "elite life" in a suit, or stay in the "farmer's daily" filled with the scent of soil? The "financial battle" in the countryside hides the most touching love choice.
