Lin Xiaoman kept her high school promise, returning to the old alley every birthday to wait for "the person at the seventh turn"—Gu Chuan once said he would trade her bowknot for a glass marble at the seventh turn of her 20th birthday. For six years, she only met a flower-selling grandma, hurrying students, or even a stray cat when she turned. On the seventh year, clutching the faded bowknot and ready to give up, she turned and crashed into a familiar embrace—Gu Chuan held the polished marble, eyes red: "I missed your sixth turn while doing research in Antarctica. This time, I traveled half the world to not be late." He never forgot; fate just made them miss each other by a step. Until the seventh turn, they finally caught each other.
