Lin Xiaoman has hidden her crush on Gu Chengchuan for twenty-three years—ever since she ran into his arms at seven. He was the top-student neighbor brother, the “unnamed” post on her WeChat Moments set to “visible for three days only,” the ginger tea she secretly made for his overtime shifts but never dared to give. When news of Gu’s upcoming wedding jolts her awake, she clutches the love letter she’s hidden for a decade to meet him—only to find him hugging the plush bear she gave him, lost in thought. It turns out the candy wrapper he slipped her before going abroad had “Wait for me” written inside; the “fiancée” is his cousin; he’s been waiting for her unspoken feelings for twenty-three years too. As snow falls on the winter night, Gu puts her cold, red hands in his pocket: “Xiaoman, I’ve waited for your love letter longer than you’ve hidden it.”
