Wu Shaotang, the prodigal young master of the Wu family in the capital, spends his days frequenting brothels, listening to operas, and riding horses recklessly—earning him the nickname 'Devil of the Capital' among locals. Little does anyone know his 'prodigal' act is a disguise: the Wu family has guarded the 'Eight Directions Martial Scripture' (a treasure that can shake the martial arts world) for generations. To protect it from villains, he hides his extraordinary skills. Until Su Wantang, a righteous female constable, mistakenly breaks into the Wu family's vault and accuses him of theft. The two are forced into a chase over the Scripture. When Su sees him shielding her from a knife, when villains expose his secret, the 'useless' young master finally unleashes a palm strike that shakes the world.
