Su Wan, exiled by her family, runs a small congee shop in a border town with her 5-year-old son Dou Ding. One day, Fu Chengyu, a cold and abstinent border inspector, drops by. Unexpectedly, Dou Ding pulls his hand and shouts "Daddy"——Fu is exactly the deadbeat dad who abandoned Su Wan and their child years ago, here to probe a border smuggling case. The past betrayal, current misunderstanding and sudden crisis twist their fates unexpectedly in the exile land, igniting romance, hatred and suspense.
