Celestial Taotie: The Warlord Family’s Feeding Chase

A young Taotie, an ancient mythical beast, falls into a Republican-era warlord’s mansion while playing. It intends to intimidate everyone with its “ferocious aura,” but instead meets a “feeding squad”—the warlord takes out his hidden thousand-year ginseng soup, his wife serves freshly steamed rose cakes, and the young marshal chases it with a roasted deer leg. The little Taotie insists, “I, a fierce beast, don’t need human food!” while secretly stuffing its cheeks full, even getting its sharp teeth stuck with candied fruits. Just then, rumors spread that “a man-eating monster hides in the warlord’s mansion.” Warlords rush in with guns, but when they open the door, they see—the chubby Taotie licking sugar from a teacup, and the warlord family holding plates, shouting: “Little darling, have another osmanthus cake!”
