Anti-drug cop Lin Shen sacrificed himself to take down a drug ring, and was granted a mysterious chance to resurrect—he must return to his mother Zhou Xiulan in seven animal forms, and only when she recognizes him can he truly live again. For the first six times, he was a stray dog accompanying her to the market, an injured pigeon on the balcony, a greedy cat stealing fish soup... Mother treated “it” gently, but never recognized her son. The seventh time, he transformed into the abandoned baby Zhou picked up at the hospital gate thirty years ago—turns out, Mother had always known he wasn’t her biological son, yet she’d waited a lifetime for “her son” to come home. When the drug ring’s remnants came for revenge, Mother risked her life to protect the “baby”. Lin Shen finally realized: Mother’s “recognition” was never about appearance, but the love engraved in her bones. He protected Mother, took down the remnants, and finally—came home as her son, for real.
