Chen Jianguo's 10-year-old son has a sudden acute heart attack, and the ambulance is stuck on the elevated highway on a rainy night. In despair, a private car stops—its owner is Lin Wan, the doctor he's hated for ten years. He blamed her for his wife's death a decade ago, believing she “let her die”. Overwhelmed by old hatred, he shoves Lin Wan out of the car, yelling, “You don't deserve to touch my son”. But as his son's heartbeat fades, he finds Lin Wan's lost medical record—inside, there's an emergency note showing she delayed the consultation to save a pregnant woman in labor that day. Just as he kneels and slaps himself in regret, a soaking wet Lin Wan rushes over with an AED. In the final hug, ten years of misunderstanding are washed away by tears, and the late redemption hits harder than the life-saving act.
